Beach Day

To start off the weekend, me and Lei went to Charley Youngs. We hadn't been to the beach in super long so we got burnt a little. Nevertheless, it was a really nice day at the beach.

In preparation for the movie, I began reading The Road again. That is one of my favorite books and I'm excited to see how they interpret it into a movie.
The day was really hot but the water made up for it. It felt so good to be in the ocean again.
Afterwards, Lei decided that she wanted some ice cream so we went over to a little place called Cold Stone Creamery. She ordered a "gotta have it" of Our Strawberry Blonde.
As you can tell by my face, it was super delicious. The caramel mixed with the strawberries was amazing. I was surprised that we finished the whole thing though, it was pretty big.
I was so fucked up that I actually thought it looked good at the time.
Kale and Kaipo came over. We were looking through my collection to decide which movie to watch. Looks like Kale secretly wanted to watch the Hulk but we ended up putting on The Wedding Singer.
I was pointing out the funniest looking guy in the line up. I realized that my dad had sent me a pirated copy of Funny People so we put that in shortly after this. Funny People is the only movie of Adam Sandler's that I enjoyed more than Wedding Singer. Hah and it was funny because in the movie, Aziz brought up Cold Stone Creamery in his stand up.

Rockband Party!

Last night me, Lei, and Kale went up to Kala's house for a second rockband party. We had one at my house last Saturday night too. I have to say, having it up at Kala's house was much better. It was way cooler up in Makawao and he has a ballin' ass house. When we get up there, it was just in time for the spaghetti he just made himself. He set up two hookahs and I tried some of the strawberry margarita and pumpkin pie. I hadn't smoked hookah for like 2 years but it was super good. Unfortunately I forgot Lei's camera last night, so here are some photos from the first rockband party we had at my house.

Kala brought over his Paul McCartney edition bass. It was longer than my guitar so it was pretty tiring to use but it was still really nice. It looks like I'm playing an ukulele. They should make ukulele hero!
Kaloe was looking very handsome on the drums.
After Kala and Kaipo left, I was too tired to really play anything so I offered to be Kaloe's mic stand. He surprisingly was able to multi task very well.
Leilani was a cutie because she would sing when nobody else wanted to.

Rockband

I finally completed my Semi Permanent Beatles series. The last piece was based on a song by George Harrison. I chose to use Something, which is one of the first Beatles songs I heard. I'm really happy with the way the piece turned out and it actually became my favorite of the four.
In addition to completing my Beatles series, I also purchased The Beatles Rockband. I bought the Rockband set from Wal Mart last week just to get ready for this. I played it most of today and its super fucking fun. I'm really into the game and it has sparked an old obsession I had for the music.
Me and Lei had to train before The Beatles rockband came out. I wanted to be able to do most of the songs so I could enjoy the game more. We played for like 3 hours the other night and I must say Lei had improved a lot in the past few days. I even worked up a sweat from playing the drums.

Stephanie gave me the Basterds poster she promised me after school on Tuesday. It's super huge and it covers a good portion of my wall. I really love the new poster, I get to fall asleep and wake up to Brad's cute face. He makes Red look like a dumbass.

News

I started school a few weeks ago. I'm only going to community college on Maui, so it's pretty cruise. I only have school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and today was Wednesday. Kale came over and told me that Kaloe recently got an email from Semi Permanent. Turns out they want to use one piece from each of us. They decided that they liked my Ringo piece, I thought if they would use any, it would be that one. So yeah, I'm pretty stoked but they said it was 100% greentead in the book but me and Kale celebrated anyway ;).

I went with my mom to the post office the other day and got me 30 postal stickers. This is the first that I've made with them. I used paint pen so I can put this cutie on my car and it won't wash off!
Although it is only the second week of class, I'm already super bored. Especially in my second history class. I recently watched Inglourious Basterds for the 3rd time. I fucking love that movie and so I drew a little gay comic of it in class. It's pretty badly drawn but this is one of my favorite parts in the movie.

Recently, me and Lei have been watching Dexter season 3. We finished the whole thing a few days ago but I'm still really into it. Too bad we don't have showtime, we can't watch the 4th season. I heard today that the actor who plays Dexter married the actress who plays his sister on the show. So weird.

And the biggest news of all, I shaved my beard. I actually think I look better, surprisingly. Hehe.
